Field Service Engineer

Our client who are a world-renowned Paint and Coatings Manufacturer are looking to hire a Field Service Technician to work with their clients throughout the Kent/ Sussex area

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer covering multiple brands and markets you will perform highly diversified mechanical and electrical tasks to install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose and maintain test colour mixing equipment.

Within this role you will also be required to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of colour mixing equipment which will involve being available for around 10 Saturdays within a 12 month period

You will manage your own day to day activity including the of planning your own itinerary to visit customers to respond to breakdown calls, perform planned maintenance or install machinery so you will need to be self-motivated and be able to manage and control your own workload. A flexible attitude towards planned activity is also required as this can change at a moment's notice dependant on the needs of the business i.e. a day of planned activity may have to be abandoned in order to respond to breakdown calls swiftly.

Skills and Qualifications

You will have relevant engineering qualification or have served an engineering apprenticeship.

You will have the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Tasks

You will be able to demonstrate experience of servicing complex electro-mechanical machinery

You will be able to demonstrate the planning & prioritisation of your workload.

You will have excellent communication time management and interpersonal skills

You will have excellent customer service skills along with practical problem-solving experience and have Intermediate IT skills

You will have Networking Installation/Maintenance experience

You will have a Minimum of GCSE /O level educational standard or equivalent to include Maths, English & a Science.

Current Full UK/EU driving licence
