Material Planner

An opportunity has arisen for a Material Planner to join our client based in Luton (LU3). This is a temporary role until July 2022, working 37 hrs per week Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm & Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm paying £18 per hour PAYE only.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing MRP workbench
• Releasing Reqs. for PO's including NPI
• Deciding What, When, From Which supplier & How Many is needed
• Maintaining and setting up material master data
• Interface with SIOP and production planning
• Communicating Forecasts to buyers in accordance to SIOP & Production plan
• Communicating reschedules & shortages to buyers
• Outside Vendor processing
• Intercompany Shipments
• Daily Communication to Factories
• Support PFEP - identify and implement pull
• PFEP - RM and FG
• Planning strategy in SAP
• Entitlement
• ROP / SS / VMI /Min-Max / Kanban calculation with operational buyers
• Manufacturing LT Reduction Projects
• Purchasing Entitlement communication
• Inventory reporting
• DC Inventory and FG inventory
• ECN Approvals, and material extension and creation

Skills and Experience

• SAP experience is essential
• Manufacturing experience
• Be able to chase subcontractors to gain updates, ensuring the site is meeting demands milestones
