About the role

Here at Babcock International we are recruiting for a Business Support Administrator to join the team.

As a Business Support Administrator, you will provide professional and efficient administration support to the Business Support Manager and Line managers (where necessary) enabling the efficient running of the business and individual departments. You will also provide cover for the front of house reception service and act as the first point of contact for all Babcock Vehicle Engineering visitors, at various times. You will further build good internal relationships and work with individuals at all levels within a large business, from shop floor staff to Directors.

Other responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining the security spreadsheet for new starters, and leavers as well as any clearances that are expiring and will therefore need reviewing. You will also comply and contribute to the effective implementation of ISO business standards and internal business processes and policies. You will further provide administration support for health surveillance bookings and directly support the completion of certain health surveillance tasks where competence requirements allow.

What do I need to do the role?

You will have experience of working in a busy reception environment, and in an office administration role supporting all areas of a business.

You will also have strong IT Skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.

We would also like you to have the following:

  • The ability to develop and maintain good internal relationships and work with individuals at all levels within a large business, from shop floor staff to Directors.
  • The ability to act as a credible representative of the company to external parties, and work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
  • The ability to work effectively as a part of a team to achieve desired results.
  • Experience of working in an automotive / engineering environment is desirable, but not essential.

Lastly, you will need excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

What else do I need to know?

  • Working hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Thursday 8.30 until 17.00 with an early finish of 14.00 on Fridays.
