The fleet needs to be the correct model mix and specification to balance customer demands, volumes and disposal value expectation.
  • Analyse and determine optimum fleet requirements (ie. Decide how many vehicles, what those vehicles are and call them off/order with the Brands) at location launch and as required thereafter to ensure the Locations have the right fleet to meet demand.
  • Monitor fleet utilisation on a national basis to determine and authorise fleet movements between locations to optimise utilisation in order to deliver greater profit and customer satisfaction whilst balancing operational movement cost priorities.
  • Load vehicles on a monthly basis into the rental system, ensuring attention to detail is applied at all times to ensure accuracy in the details being loaded; such as vehicle model, accessories and financial details.
  • Manage and monitor the vehicle groups and models master list in the rental system, loading new data when required.
  • Manage monthly stock checks of the storage vehicles, ensuring the rental system matches the stock report received from the storage supplier. Work through any anomalies in a timely manner to avoid the rental system being inaccurate and to keep control of the fleet.
  • Assist the Stock and Supply Manager to build and maintain Supplier and Key Stakeholder contacts. Liaising, negotiating and relationship building with Rental Locations, Fines Management Specialists, Brand Employees, Storage Suppliers, Fleet Management Suppliers etc. to ensure strong commercial terms and SLA agreements can be maintained
  • Manage the re-taxing of vehicles and MOT checks as required to ensure the rental fleet is compliant at all times
  • Support the Stock and Supply Manager to create and manage all business processes, process mapping and delivery of change management to ensure correct procedures are being implemented and followed. Challenge existing processes and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose for new products in Rent a Car and Mobility
  • Perform month end fleet reports and distribute to key stakeholders across the company.
  • Assist the Stock and Supply Manager in completing a weekly storage dashboard to help pinpoint key models to focus on utilising.
  • Manage the defleet process - liaise with area sales managers and rental managers to ensure suitable replacements vehicles are provided in a timely manner and ensure the defleet vehicles are at the defleet centre for buyback before the deadline.
