Job Title: Central Accountant
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire, GB, PO6 3EN
Compensation: £ 32,000.00 + Benefits
Role Type: Full time / Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our finance team where you'll work for a leading Defence company.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a part qualified Accountant in a professional experience or qualified by work experience to carry out all aspects of Business Unit (BU) ERP, management reporting, BPC and statutory reporting.
What will you be doing?
* Management accounting transactions for the BU, including central allocations & recharges
* Ownership of intercompany process, raising invoices, credit control and agreeing counterparty charges
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for statutory entity
* Petty cash replenishment and bank approvals
* Interfacing with external auditors, including supporting deliverables and other ad hoc audit requirements
* Providing support to the Reporting Finance Manager - Military in all ad hoc analysis requests
The experience you'll bring
* Either part qualified in a professional experience or qualified by work experience.
- Experience of audit processes
- Understanding of technical accounting, including IFRS and UK GAAP
* You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
