I have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Transport Administrator to work for leading private providers of short-term accommodation and support services in the public sector. Based in Swindon & working from home. Working 40hours a week on a rota of (7.30am - 4.00pm, 9.00am - 5.30pm). Salary £21,000pa

Propose of the Role:

Reporting to the Transport & Logistics Manager, the Transport Administrator will be responsible for recording, collating evidence and reconciling all journey records in a timely basis to enable timely invoicing of customers. You will need good administration and organisation skills and be able to use Microsoft Packages. On the job training will be given.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure journey records are completed accurately in an effective and efficient manner.
  • To support the Transport Coordinator with all administration tasks to ensure all evidence required to invoice clients is collated and stored appropriately.
  • To reconcile all journeys made between externally paid journeys and internally demanded journeys.
  • To maintain logistics invoice records on excel to enable management reporting.
  • Support delivery of revenue targets through provision of smooth transportation administration services
  • Enable smooth and compliant delivery of service through management of national transportation services
  • Work within and improve internal procedures
  • To ensure timely journey information is available to allow KPI's for reporting
  • Provide reports and information requested by operational teams on a timely basis.
  • Assisting Transport and Logistics with Complaint and Incident Reporting and resolution.
  • Uploading daily journeys for payment
  • Another administration task as required.
  • Ability to work independently.

Team working

  • Liaise regularly with line manager and team members
  • Helping/providing cover for other team members as required
  • Working together to identify improvements in processes and management information
  • Attending team and other staff meetings
  • Supporting new team members and provide on-the-job training
  • Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager

Communication and Liaison

  • Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e., emails/messages/calls)
  • Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures

Training and development

  • Monitor own work levels, progress, and development
  • Undertake all core training and development programmes as required
  • Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
