We are looking for an IT Technician in a key role to be part of the diverse RAF Valley Babcock and Cyber Operations Team. This role is multi-skilled and will require an element of flexibility on a busy RAF site supporting our MOD partners.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an IT Technician to help in keeping the Station operating. Everyone on our site is involved in ensuring aircraft fly, and ensuring pilots are trained on time, safely.

What will you be doing?
* Maintain an operational flight planning system, including deployable elements.

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, repair and maintenance of non-MODNet small IT Systems (including desktops, laptops and personal user devices), updating the relevant asset management system.
  • Assisting with change management of MODNet Devices, Printers and Scanners, including expert user tasks.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of all RAF Valley IT and directed external IT programs as an SME.
  • Provide expert advice and best practice to the Station community on the operation of all equipment and services provided by Cyber Ops Sqn.
  • Implement and scope Application Exploitation (AX) improvements for the Station through effective two-way communication and application knowledge.

The experience you'll bring
* Experience working in an IT environment with good cyber protection awareness.
* Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft power platform, desirable.
* Experience in Windows 10 system administration, desirable.
* Trained to a recognised IT Technician standard
* Full Driving Licence

  • You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
