Sea Freight Exports Specialist

Exciting new opportunity for experienced logistics professionals with knowledge of moving and exporting goods via sea freight to join one of the world's largest and most successful logistics organisations in Dartford, Kent.

This role will focus on using previous operational knowledge to offer customers the best and most proactive customer service as part of the company's specialist Export Customer Care team. It is the perfect role for someone with a global freight forwarding or logistics background who understands the fundamentals of export documentation, booking of shipments and the end-to-end export process but can now put their skills into confidently liaising with and supporting key customers (also global logistics groups).

The responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring positive customer experience
• Carrying out customer requests as per service agreements
• Monitoring customer shipments in order to provide proactive updates to customers
• Using a strong level of sea freight forwarding experience to assist with customer queries
• Field complaint calls and provide effective solutions
• Qualify customer queries, offer booking quotations and pricing
• Undertake opportunities for service up-selling
• Liaise with sales team to ensure smooth on-boarding of new customers
• Create performance reports
• Ensuring compliance with all company procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in either freight forwarding/transport planning or a busy logistics role with a key focus on Sea Logistics
• Excellent knowledge of MS office features, especially Excel
