Production Technician
Key Accountabilities
Shift support for production output supporting all aspects of the operation including
- Manufacture test strips as per standard operating procedures and in line with production schedules.
- Set up and adjust ink deposition valves on every batch to ensure the necessary precision (position and volume) of reagent.
- Carry out production trials to support the development and transition of new products into manufacture.
- Support packaging operation as required to meet customer demand.
- Understand and ensure Critical to Quality (CTQ) variables are carefully controlled to safeguard strip performance and maximise yield.
- Carry out routine monitoring of statistical process control data on the manufacturing line
- Carry out routine maintenance/calibration checks to ensure compliant setup and running of production equipment.
- Carry out duties in line with Lean Manufacturing/5S techniques.
- Complete accurate batch records and relevant audit paperwork.
Key Skills Required
- An inquisitive nature and appetite to learn new skills
- A positive attitude to supporting this exciting opportunity
- Previous manufacturing or machine setting experience would be beneficial
- Mechanical engineering / Maintenance technician skills would be desirable
- Experience working within a high-volume production environment
- Good team player but able to take initiative and work under your own direction where required
- Tech savvy, experience in using various tools and software systems to manage and record data.
- High level of motivation, commitment, and flexibility

Working Hours
All Production Technicians will work on a rotational 'Panama' shift pattern, working over 2-weeks on a 2 day/3 day/2 day 12hr shift pattern - following a pattern on 2 Days on / 2 Days off / 3 Days on / 2 Days off / 2 Days on / 3 Days off, before rotating to 2 Nights on / 2 Nights off / 3 Nights on / 2 Nights off / 2 Nights on / 3 Nights off.
Base salary for the role is £28788 p.a. with a further 35% shift premium taking base earnings to £38,863 per year
