Manpower, in partnership with Aston Martin, are now recruiting Automotive Technicians to work at Aston Martin’s state-of-the-art facility, built specifically to manufacture the Aston Martin DBX, in St Athan, South Wales. We are looking for Skilled Technicians to join Manpower on an ongoing contingent contract with Aston Martin

Job Purpose

Beautifully engineered vehicles are a result of months and sometimes years of meticulous design, dedicated craftsmanship, uncompromising testing, and a personal customer experience second-to-none. As part of the Aston Martin DBX team you will be responsible for vehicle build, including sub-assembly of components, vehicle testing and problem solving on complex automotive issues.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

• Working as part of the manufacturing team to keep ensure production schedules are met.

• Responsible for assembly process and adherence to sequencing.

• Adhering to AML build & compliance standards.

• Ensuring all vehicle components are correctly fitted as per engineering standards and recorded within supply chain systems and process.

• Completion of assembly & inspection records.

• Achievement of quality delivery on all vehicles as per AML standards.

• Continually looking for opportunities to develop and improve build process to be better, safer, and more efficient.

• Assembling and supporting the build of prototype vehicles.

• Preparation and delivery of fleet and demonstration vehicles.

• Maintaining a clean, professional, and safe working environment.

• Providing training and support to members of the wider production team.

To be a successful Automotive Technician, you will need to:

• Be a multi-skilled technician with sound mechanical or auto-electric experience.

• Have considerable prior experience in either automotive manufacturing, dealership, workshop, or equivalent environment.

• Have a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Be able to understand and interpret detailed component and assembly drawings.

• Have strong problem solving and lateral thinking skills.

• Show a hands-on approach and be confident in a production / automotive environment

• Be a team player, working coherently with other team members to deliver to the highest standards.

• Be passionate about what you do, always striving to go the extra mile.

• Have experience working in Automotive industry - automotive supplier, F1, F2, F3 or LMP would be advantageous.

• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing processes, quality, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• A recognised apprenticeship/qualification in automotive industry

OR

• Proven experience in the automotive industry (vehicle repair, vehicle production, vehicle painting)

Day Shift

6.30 – 15.30

6.30 – 11.30

 

Double Days (Early Shift)

6.00 – 14.00

6.00 – 12.00

Double Days (Late Shift)

14.00 – 01.00

 

Contractual overtime arrangements are in place to ensure required production demands can be met. More information on working arrangements will be provided throughout the recruitment process.
