Then we have the right opportunity our client, located in Erskine Scotland, is at the heart of a market-leading Circular Economy strategy. We have over 20 years' experience in the sustainable management of IT assets. The facility is designed to refurbish and re-market pre-owned assets where possible or ethically recycle if no longer usable. The variety of assets is staggering, from a 20-year-legacy to leading edge current generation platforms. The successful candidate will form part of a compact, agile, and adaptive engineering team which has varied responsibilities. The diversity of the role requires an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual who would enjoy the daily challenge of a manufacturing environment.

Job Function:

  • Provide technical support on process related issues
  • Ensure compliance to established standards
  • Maintain master product data
  • Engineering escalation path
  • Customer escalation support
  • Business in-sights reporting

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performs varied and general tasks that are required to ensure production lines run unimpaired
  • Follows detailed documentation and instructions to complete a variety of process-orientated tasks
  • Provides escalation support, working to ensure that operational goals are met
  • Identifies uncomplicated to complex areas for improvement, defining, documenting and where appropriate implementing those opportunities
  • Participation in the definition, documentation and introduction of strong processes, process controls and quality systems in response to new opportunities
  • Monitors and responds to requests for information relating to area of responsibility
  • Executes in-process audits to ensure operational compliance
  • Produces excel based reports to track key operational metrics
  • Executes key production processes that require technician level resourcing
  • Collaborates and communicates with management and internal functions regarding process and standards compliance, recording and reporting issues, and recommendations for problem resolution
  • Mentors other employees as required

Preferred knowledge and skills required:

  • 5+ years' experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing or service environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel products
  • Demonstrable documentation skill
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to solve problems within tight time-constraints
  • Able to work well under stress, both internally and across functions while displaying excellent time management skill
  • Proven record of out-of-hours business support and commitment
  • Advantageous to have experience in Business ERP systems such as SAP or Dynamics AX
