Our client, one of the UK's leading Energy providers is looking for an experienced Administrative assistant to join their already established team within Nuclear fuel supply. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks including corrective action processes, documents reviews and Information Analysis. To succeed in the role, the successful candidate will be confident within their organisational skills and have an eye for detail, able to translate technical and legal wording and directives to understand the key points. You will also be a self starter, comfortable with processes and regulation as well as challenging a wide range of stakeholders.

Nature and Scope

  • The main focus of the role is to support NFSS and the current NG fleet in relation to fuel supply. This will involve close liaison with members on the team, as well as with other stakeholders both within and external to the organisation.
  • The role will involve a wide range of administrative tasks from managing the team corrective action plan to monitoring and reporting market data. This will involve use of a wide range of software.
  • This role will additionally involve support external to NG, as well as shaping the future as we approach defueling and decommissioning.

  • Managing team meetings and writing minutes
  • Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Monitoring and summarising various sources of information relevant to the team such as market data and sanctions updates
  • Using a wide range of software to support the team's activities
  • Various administrative tasks relating to fuel supply

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge
    • Good knowledge of MS Office tools
    • Knowledge of EDF NG processes and procedures would be an advantage but not essential
    • Knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle would be an advantage but is not essential

  • Skills
    • Good organisational skills.
    • Confidence to challenge and provide authoritative advice.
    • Quick to pick up and assimilate new information.
    • Good at using a variety of IT tools
    • You will be a good communicator.
    • You will be a self-starter.

  • Experience
    • Prior experience undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks is essential.

Please note; if successful you will be employed by Manpower working on a temporary ongoing basis until December 2022 with scope for extension. Our client is operating a Hybrid working model, therefore the need to be onsite a number of days a week is essential but there is scope to WFH. You will be expected to undertake a drugs and alcohol test as well as be security checked to BPSS and CTC Level.
