Spirit AeroSystems are now recruiting direct to the permanent workforce to support the ramp up of production across our range of products including our award winning, composite aircraft wings.
We are actively seeking skilled aircraft fitters and sheet metal workers to join the team. You'll earn £27,163, rising to £29,774, with overtime and shift premiums potentially available.
To join this growing family, you’ll have:
- completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- at least one of the following:
- City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2
- NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline
- equivalent qualification; and
- aircraft-fitting experience in the last four years is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
After initial product training your role will involve checking kit parts to drawing schedules, manufacturing a range of aerospace hardware to a high standard and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
You’ll also need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be happy to work a range of shifts plus overtime, as required, at any of Spirit AeroSystems Northern Ireland sites.
