Transport Coordinator - Fareham

A highly successful company that runs a dynamic Waste Collection and Processing operation are looking for a driven, optimistic, and proactive individual to join their team of Transport Coordinators in Fareham. Joining their busy team, you must be able to work well under pressure, have a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills.

Hours

• Shifts between 6am - 6pm Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break, and 1 in 6 Saturday (half a day)

Key Responsibilities

• Accountability for productivity and P&L performance of all vehicle types
• Daily driver workload allocation
• Act as a conduit for driver communication through the line and across departments (i.e., fleet maintenance, payroll)
• Proactively communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers
• Responsible for compliance and well being of drivers
• Directly input and report upon business performance data for your vehicles
• Ownership of safety performance, incidents, and accidents for your vehicles
• Work closely with the fleet department for your vehicle maintenance and driver training

Requirements

• Working knowledge of driver's hours rules
• Experience of working in the construction industry or construction supply chain
• Experience of managing a fleet
• Transport Manager CPC (working towards, or willing to complete)
• Experience in daily use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook
• Experience of enterprise resource/business management software

Desirable

• Experience in the waste management or bulk logistics industry
• Understanding of local geography
• ILM/CMI/business-related Qualification
• Category B (Car) Driving Licence
