Communications and PR Manager

Permanent position. Excellent opportunity for an experienced PR and Communications Manager to join a leading North East organisation. This is a full-time position; the salary is £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

This role involves

Planning and implementing effective strategies for communications, marketing, and PR across the group

• Hands on management of all channels - media releases, website, social media, and internal communications.
• Ownership of group brand and design across digital and print mediums
• Supporting Directors/senior management with commercial opportunities (pitches, presentations, materials etc)
• Event/exhibition planning and delivery
• Leading on the organisations stakeholder engagement programme, including media, public sector, and community audiences
• Leading on all communications/reputation management issues

Skills and experience required:

• Active experience within a PR & Communications environment
• Strong IT skills especially relating to website management and social media
• Excellent communication skills
• A pro-active, and professional approach
• Prior experience of communications within the port, marine or offshore energy/renewables sectors (preferred)
