The Site Supervisor will control and lead the delivery of cleaning services on dedicated sites. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring standards are consistently maintained in accordance with the customer's contractual specification as well as looking for improvement opportunities to add value to our customers. The Site Supervisor will contribute to the delivery of the regional financial business plan by carefully managing and developing initiatives to reduce materials and consumables costs and adhering to all SHE processes and initiatives. The Site Supervisor will identify and drive efficiency savings e.g. reduction of surplus hours on sites, agency over-time and absenteeism. The Site Supervisor may also cover for the SSM when necessary.

The role involves monitoring and maintaining performance standards as required as well as monitoring and reporting of non-conformance to local site schedules for in house and other soft services (i.e. Pest Control, Grounds Maintenance, External Waste Management etc in line with agreed 3rd party contract schedules). The job holders will need to work collaboratively with soft and hard services colleagues to deliver improvement initiatives as part of annual savings and optimisation programmes as well ad hoc responses to ensure RM Ops business continuity and escalated issues.


Key accountabilities generally between 7 to 10 key deliverables:

1. Directly supervise a defined number of Cleaning Operatives within their site(s), effectively planning and utilising resources to ensure consistent service management.

2. Work alongside the Soft Services Management Team supporting the Management of the site(s) financial budgets, as well as identifying ways to drive efficiency savings through reducing over time, surplus hours and absenteeism.

3. Manage the performance of the team by coaching, training and developing the team to ensure that they perform to their maximum potential, as well as quickly taking action using appropriate methods such as HR procedures if required.

4. To act as the lead role and single point of contact related to FM issues, escalations or under performance for sites within the span of control. Ensuring the Customer and affected stakeholders are regularly communicated to informing of progress and resolution timescales. The Supervisor will also embrace change and look for opportunities to build customer satisfaction

5. To take a proactive role within designated sites to monitor the performance and adherence to local site schedules for all 'soft' service products and reporting non-conformance to the associated Contract Manager and Help desk keeping the Customer informed at all times (i.e. Pest, Waste, Washroom services and Grounds Maintenance Schedules)

6. Utilisation of Systems and apps to ensure stock, resource and works management are managed effectively, without incident and/or customer/business impact and to prevent avoidable or unnecessary cost inference.

7. Support the business energy and environmental policy, associated strategies and objectives through regular monitoring and innovation to reduce where possible.

8. Ensure that all weekly site inspections and any required action plans on their site(s) are completed correctly and in a timely manner, making sure the customer is fully informed of progress and associated action plans.

9. Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies.

10. Ensuring that all Cleaning Operatives are tasked appropriately and safely and have the necessary skills, experience, equipment (including PPE) and materials to perform their allocated tasks.
