The first 3 months you will need to work onsite quite often but after this point, we offer agile working requiring 2 days a week in the office

The Nuclear Facility Infrastructure department delivers complex upgrades and modifications to facility assets and infrastructure in support of the Submarine maintenance programme at Devonport Royal Dockyard. The department has a significant forthcoming workload with essential construction and upgrade projects to support the Submarine programme. The projects are diverse and encompass mechanical, electrical and civil elements across the full EPCM lifecycle.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated, committed and keen to lean. A self-starter who is able to manage their time, show initiative and has a genuine interest in project planning and management. This is an exciting opportunity to start out a career within project planning and controls. The trainee programme will give you the skills and knowledge to be an effective planning engineer within the Nuclear Facilities Project Management Office and will provide a strong understanding and working knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring and Controls.


What will you be doing?
* Assist with the creation and maintenance of schedules for the assigned facility
* Contribute to the monthly maintenance & project lifecycle reporting and attend associated reviews
* Assist in the development of Strategic programmes within the Nuclear facilities Through Life Management Plan
* Assist in the development of the Project Planning function within the Nuclear Facilities Project Management Office
* To attend and pass all examinations associated within the 12 month training programme

The experience you'll bring
* Experience within the Engineering Industry
* Microsoft Office Suite
* GCSEs in Maths & English Grade C, 4/5 or equivalent
* BTEC/ONC/Level 3, equivalent qualification or relevant discipline

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
