An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Assistant to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, to be based in Leatherhead 1-2 days per week and the rest of the week working from home with occasional meetings in London. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 36.25-hour week, paying up to £31,500 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Background/General Purpose of Position:

The Team Assistant role is to support the two Sales Directors and the wider teams managing the responsibilities below. We aim to be the best Customer Development in the UK and are looking for people with the energy, drive and determination to succeed in a fast paced, constantly changing and fun working environment.

Responsibilities: To provide support including;

  • Developing relationships in support of managing the Customer Relationship (Meetings, Calls, Events etc)
  • Proactive diary management
  • Meeting room booking
  • Video and Telephone Conferencing booking and setup
  • Travel Booking
  • Maintain content on the information portal for the team and own portal structure
  • Maintain department organograms
  • Management of Purchase Orders
  • Ownership and tracking of IT JML (Joiners, Movers and Leavers) process for new starters
  • Supportonboarding and induction of new starters including;
    • Maintain induction packs and personal knowledge content
    • Support new starters in use of generic process and tools
    • Deliver general induction
    • Security access for new starters (badge, car parking, IT)
  • Develop network of contacts within the business who can support effective solutions
  • Event management and organisation (internal & external) including: booking, managing invoices, organising catering etc
  • Lead the Team Huddle(s)

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams & Other Communications Software, Microsoft Sharepoint and other bespoke IT systems
  • Excellent time management / organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Ability to be proactive / work on own initiative

Key Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Proven track record of delivery in a Team Assistant / Personal Assistant type role
  • An ability to prioritise is key as is the ability to manage a broad range of tasks and drive to completion
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Experience working in a large organisation across a breadth of functions
  • Ability to seek out and connect with "solution providers", irrespective of whether they are based in the office or remotely
