An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client, the powerhouse behind Persil, Comfort, Surf and Ben & Jerry's, are currently seeking a Quality Audit Technician (Food) based onsite in Crumlin, South Wales. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months minimum working 40 hours per week, paying between £19,000 up to £23,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates who have a notice period longer than 1 month to serve.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The main responsibility of this role is to assist the quality team with the implementation and administration of sites FSMS food safety management system, for compliance to FSSC 2200 Standard.

Carrying out internal & pre-requisite audits, assisting with validate & verification of quality controls. Ensuring quality sampling plans are met. Support the Quality, Technology & Innovation team with respect to all aspects of the quality of incoming and finished goods & process controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support updating the FSMS food safety management system & compliance to FSSC 2200 Standard.
  • Support to verify compliance of site operations to UL QMS through program of internal quality audits & prerequisites.
  • Supports efforts to complete and maintain external audits and certifications.
  • Support the implementation of sites prerequisite program & HACCP Plan.
  • Supports the implementation and verification of procedures to control non-conforming materials and products - support quality improvement projects.
  • Compliance with site Quality standards and procedures.
  • Organize and perform the calibration of all laboratory equipment and balances within the factory.
  • Sending samples away for microbial and chemical analysis, recording results when received.
  • Supports internal audits within the department and assisting FSSC22000 audits when required.
  • Assist in change controls on standard operating procedures and forms.
  • Assist quality department during audits.
  • Assist with production trials, sampling & data collection.

Other information and Requirements:

  • Experience with auditing process.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Food Safety management systems would be an advantage
  • Production experience would be an advantage
  • Competence in standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, Power Point Competence in SAP applications - quality & material management
  • Driving licence holder would be an advantage
  • Day based role, Monday to Friday
