To assist the Manager and Assistant Manager in the day to day running of the store whilst at the same time providing a level of service that exceeds customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Service To greet and approach all customers (both in person and on the telephone) in accordance with Company standards. To understand customer needs and to provide advice. To follow up all customer enquiries. To handle all customers in a calm and professional manner. To be aware of competitor activity within the local area. To ensure that standards of personal appearance are in accordance with the Company Dress Code. To consistently exceed customer expectations. Sales To convert prospects into customers. To promote the sale of insurance to customers and ensure that sufficient cover is provided. To encourage the sale of merchandise and advise customers as to the most suitable items to meet their needs. To promote the services and facilities within the store. Marketing Date of Issue: 01/02/21 To assist with the maintenance and development of the store marketing database. To communicate any ideas for local marketing initiatives to the Manager. To participate in marketing activities for the store. Administration To accurately maintain customer records. To assist with the receipt and sale of merchandise stock. To take part in the preparation of monthly and weekly reports. To ensure the accurate completion of all documentation. Health and Safety To comply with the Store and Company Health and Safety Plans, to ensure the Health and Safety of all staff and customers. To take part in daily health and safety checks within the store. To comply with emergency procedures relating to staff and customers. Security To take part in regular tests on fire alarms and emergency lighting installations. To monitor the security of the store throughout the day via the security systems and regular visual checks. To be vigilant in respect of items being stored to reduce the risk of customers storing prohibited items. To be aware of emergency security procedures. Maintenance To communicate any faulty equipment or any maintenance requirements to the Manager or Assistant Manager in a timely manner. To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store to include the reception area, units, corridors, loading bay and car park. Date of Issue: 01/02/21 General To drive / operate Company vehicles as required and in accordance with Company Policy. To provide the Manager with regular feedback in respect of any operational matters. To forward any ideas to the Manager to assist in the improvement and development of the business. To undertake any other ad hoc duties in order to support the store / Company.
