A Project Controls Manager leads and manages a project controls team, ensure adherence to a common set of practices, principles and templates for projects, portfolios or programmes, in order to ensure tracking of project status for all projects, provision of support resources to support projects, and provide advice and guidance to project and programme managers.

What will you be doing?
* Responsible for establishing/maintaining or adhering to the specific PC governance, processes and procedures across a project
* Establish the project baseline position in terms of scope/cost /schedule and the ongoing governance control of these.
* Manage scheduling staff to develop, manage, revise, and analyse integrated project schedules including all phases of project execution
* Manage project controls staff to provide cost management/change management/risk & opportunity management and document management provision.
* Provision of regular management reporting both internal and external to the project to provide relevant, accurate and reliable information on the status and forecast of the project.

The experience you'll bring
Experience and Company/Industry Knowledge
* Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
* Managed project controls of varying type and significant complexity: including varying products, services, across all phases of the lifecycle
* Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc.)
* Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out.
* Have expert knowledge of PC toolsets and the integration of these

Qualifications
Academic:
* Ideally a bachelor's degree in engineering/project/construction management or a related field
* A postgraduate qualification is also desirable, as is membership in a professional body
* Mandatory (or agreement to attain in 12 months) NEC ECC Project Manager Accreditation (or equivalent) APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ)
* APM Project Planning & Controls - Practitioner

Desirable:
* APM Project Risk Management Single Subject Certification - Level 2 Earned
* Value Management Certification - Practitioner Project Risk Management Course
