Manpower is currently recruiting in partnership with Aston Martin, Wales's and indeed one of the UK's most prestige car manufacturers in St Athan, South Wales. We are seeking talented assembly/production operators to join our elite team!
Beautifully engineered vehicles are a result of months and sometimes years of meticulous design, dedicated craftsmanship, uncompromising testing, and a personal customer experience second-to-none. The day-to-day responsibilities:
* Assembly of Production cars, including sub-assembly of components for stock and to aid the Production process
* Working with the wider project team to keep production on schedule, having an overall view of the assembly status of whole vehicles
* Creation and maintenance of assembly process and sequencing
* Adhere to Build & Compliance Documentation
* Completion of Assembly & Inspection records
* Responsibility for the quality of the work produced and carried out.
* Continually looking for opportunities to develop and make build process better, safer and more efficient
* Assemble and support the build and testing of prototype vehicles
* Preparation and Inspection of Fleet & Demonstration vehicles
* Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment
* Provide training and support to members of the wider production team
* Continually looking for opportunities to develop and make build process better, safer, more efficient.

About you:
* A multi-skilled technician with sound mechanical or auto-electric experience
* Considerable prior experience in either automotive manufacturing, dealership, workshop or equivalent environment
* A strong understanding of automotive manufacturing and assembly processes
* Able to understand and interpret detailed component and assembly drawings
* Strong problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
* A hands-on approach. Comfortable in a production environment
* Team Player. Working coherently with other team members to deliver to the highest standards
* Excited & passionate about what you do - Striving to go the extra mile.

Qualifications & Experience:
* A recognised apprenticeship / qualification in automotive industry
* Proven experience in the automotive industry (vehicle repair, vehicle production, vehicle painting)
* Experience working in Automotive industry, automotive supplier, F1 would be advantageous
* Understanding of Manufacturing processes, quality and safety standards
* Ability to work using own initiative

Hours of work:

Days: 6.30am - 15.30pm Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 11.30 Friday
Double Days: 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday 2pm - 1am Monday - Thursday
