HGV Technician

We are recruiting a HGV Technician with a large transport and logistics company based in Lisburn, based just off the M1 with an easy commute from surrounding areas.

Joining the fleet maintenance team you'll carry out a range of mechanical repairs and servicing to a varied fleet of Trucks and Trailers.

Suitable candidates will need a Level 3 Vehicle Repair (Light or Heavy) and mechanical experience working on HGV's

Monday to Friday hours with occasional Saturday mornings at a higher rate

The Role

• Mechanical repairs and maintenance on a fleet of Trucks and Trailers
• General inspections and corrective action
• Fault finding and diagnosing problems
• Breakdown and roadside support if required
• Record and update paperwork required
• Work with the wider transport team on vehicle updates, progress and timescales
• Keep a high standard of work to ensure fleet runs efficiently, safely and road worthy

What we are looking for

• Level 3 qualified in HGV Repair or similar (Light Vehicle/ Plant)
• Mechanical experience on Heavy Vehicles / Trucks/ Trailers
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanics
• Working knowledge of diagnostics and fault finding
• HGV licence desirable but not essential
