We are currently seeking experienced candidates looking for an exciting opportunity to undertake a Senior Buyer role within the Naval Nuclear Supply Chain team. This role specifically works within the Operational Materials Procurement element of the central services support team.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for 1x permanent Senior Buyer and also another on a 12 month fixed term contract. The central services team support the sourcing, contract management and supplier management of indirect services for all our internal customers across the business to enable the delivery of critical support packages to our customer the Royal Navy.

What will you be doing?
* Commercially represent the company and provide procurement / commercial input into and sign off (Procurement) statements of requirement prior to release to suppliers
* Complete requirements (review and recommend preferred bidders) and co-ordinate order placement
* Ongoing contract management on larger packages, consistent with the specified technical, quality assurance and delivery requirements which are critical to the success of this business.

The experience you'll bring
* Obtained or undertaking CIPS level 4 accreditation.
* Lean Six Sigma certification or understanding of the principles is desirable.
* Experience in use of MPS and MRP systems
* IFS/SAP preferred
* Understanding of engineering environments
* Experience in a procurement and supply chain, preferably material based.

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
