Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join us at Babcock International, this is a unique opportunity to move your career in a new direction, gaining new qualifications with an internationally recognised organisation. This role will see you working with an experienced and supportive team with the goal of delivering the next generation of Metalsmiths to the Ministry of Defence.

What will I be doing?

You will be sharing your wealth of trade experience with groups of students in a workshop, guiding them in all areas of practical and theoretical Welding and Fabrication.

This is an excellent development opportunity for the right candidate, as whilst you teach your students, you will also be gaining a Level 4 Certificate of Education and training.


The experience you will bring?

You will be a time served, or Level 3 qualified Welder and Fabricator competent in at least 2 of the following welding types, OA, MMA, MIG or TIG. Coded welding experience would be advantageous but not essential to the role.


You will also need to be eligible to receive and maintain UK SC level security clearance for this post.
