Manpower are recruiting a Higher Analytical Officer. This is a hybrid role working 60% from the clients Bristol office and 40% from home. The focus of this company is to inspect and regulate services that care for children and other services providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
Our client is looking for is someone with an analytical mind and who works well with numbers. You do not have to be hyper-technical, but you must have some Excel skills and be willing to learn more. You do need to be intelligent and curious about the data presented to you. The world in which our client works in, not incidentally, is the lives of the most vulnerable children in England. They are looking for someone to fill the role initially for at least three months, if this goes well then there will be possible long-term opportunities.
Main duties
- Production of pre-inspection briefings for inspections of independent fostering agencies
- Contribute to production of official and national statistics, and internal publications of data and analysis
- Analysis of child-level data from the CiN census and the SSDA903 to inform national policy development
- Handle queries and questions about our data, including requests for ad hoc analysis, from internal and external users
- Develop and update our products and services with the latest data, including using R and SQL
- Support the annual fostering data collection, including answering questions from data suppliers.
Essential criteria
Contract - Temporary for a duration of 3 months initially
Hours - You will be required to work 5 days a week (37.5 hours per week)
Hourly rate - £16.19 per hour
