We are currently looking for an Apprenticeship Coordinator in Animal Care to join our Animal Defence Centre business, here at Melton Mowbray. If you're passionate about delivering dog training and handling, have extensive experience in the sector and would like to pass on your knowledge and experience to deliver apprenticeship training we want to hear from you.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for an experienced dog trainer who is self-motivated with a flexible approach and strong work ethic. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills as well as excellent organisational skills.

What will you be doing?
In this role you'll join a team of 6, being responsible for supporting a caseload of learners who are currently studying Animal Care apprenticeships and qualifications. Your role will be to deliver L2 to L4 search and security military dog training, providing support, guidance, assessment and monitoring throughout their learner journey, from enrolment to completion. This is a very rewarding role and together, we could save lives.

What the role involves:
* Assess Learner work and other activities and feedback on progress towards completion of all relevant paperwork for the induction process as laid down by company policy and procedures and delivery profiles, ensuring that details are passed on to administration and the relevant company offices as learners are posted.
* Delivery of training for underpinning knowledge to support Learners' successful completion of units towards their Apprenticeship Programme.
* Carry out training reviews with learners at intervals in accordance with SFA and Company guidelines.
* Act as a mentor/coach to Learners, offering information, Training, advice and guidance as required.
* Reporting to Line Manager on a regular basis to advise of any outstanding reviews or potential suspension of learners, to support the management of 'Maximum Contract Value'.
* Advise Line Manager of any incidents involving learners where additional support may be necessary.

The experience you'll bring
* Previous Military dog training experience
* Educational environment background - Delivery of Training to Learners with ability to train and assess up to Level 4 in animal care (canine context)
* Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in sector related qualification
* Key/Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent)
* Excellent IT skills
* The ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels.
* The ability to train others with energy and enthusiasm and provide the environment where learners feel motivated
* Must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
