We are looking to recruit Stock Controllers based in, MK43 0YL Milton Keynes. This is a full-time temporary ongoing role paying £12.92 per hour. Working Monday to Friday 40+ hours a week 7.00am - 4.00pm and overtime Saturdays and Sundays at overtime rates. Must be flexible and must be able to start immediately!
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the necessary stock control functions being carried out correctly.
- Cross-departmental working with key colleagues in Purchasing, Goods In, Warehouse, and Sales
- Pro-actively manage the stock at risk and quality control issues, escalating to line manager where necessary.
- Coordinate perpetual and year end stock take (daily cycle counting) both physical and systemic, also coordinate with finance and auditors' with year-end processes.
- Compile daily/weekly/monthly reports and address any inventory discrepancies, escalating to line manager where necessary
- Adjusting and creating stock reports as required by the business
- Working with forecast supply and demand planning to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Track shipments and address any delays along with the goods-in team.
- Make sure product master data is correct by monitoring min max stock levels, ensuring information is up to date, along with the general information, commodity codes, description etc, and report anomalies.
- Continuously checking backorder reports to deliver on time in full
- Flagging up any issues and proactively reporting back to the business to keep customers informed.
Skills and Experience
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle or Sales Force)
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Basic understanding of stock financials (eg. Stock value, Stock turn)
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
