Bench Joiner Assembler

I have a fantastic opportunity for Bench Joiner to join my client on a full-time permanent basis, who are a national supplier of bespoke doors and frames works.

Salary from £10 - 12 per hour depending on experience
Plus over time at an enhanced rate

The working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4.00pm (early finish most Fridays)
Flexible working hours with overtime available at enhanced rate.
20 days holiday + bank holidays and 3 days off over Christmas

For the position of bench joiner, you should have proven of at least 1 year experience working in a bench joinery workshop environment, with basic joinery & assembly skills including working with wood panels, veneers & laminates.

*If you new to the industry and have little experience apply today as there is an opening for a junior bench joiner.

Essential Requirements

• Able to build units to a high standard.
• Able to work independently and use initiative, as well as working as part of a team.
• Competent working with hand, power tools and air tools.
• Confident in finishing of components e.g. as sanding & machining.
• Conducting own quality checks on work.
• Knowledge or willingness & ability to use woodwork machinery including edge bander, panel saw & cross cut saw.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Responsible for good housekeeping, cleanliness and high standards in work area
