This is your opportunity to join Babcock International to lead and manage the planning, development, and delivery of projects within Scotland to ensure that all contracts and service agreements are delivered in compliance with contractual, SQE, legal specifics and obligations. One of our current projects is the Levenmouth project reintroducing an abandoned railway, circa £15-20m.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Project Manager professional who is motivated to do well within the governance set, has the ability to work alone and in a team, demonstrates true leadership skills and exercises H&S at all times.

What will you be doing?
As a Project Manager you will play a key role in ensuring our clients are satisfied with delivery quality and continuously improve delivery to maintain a competitive edge.

Your duties will include:
* Ensuring to plan, develop, design and implement projects to meet or better tendered margins. Ensuring that changes to scope and specifications are managed and that risk registers are robustly reviewed.
* Managing resources to ensure that all contract/service activities are carried out in accordance with conditions of contract/service agreement, health and safety legislation and company procedures.
* Directing staff to comply with procedures and delegated authorities in the delivery of contracts/service agreements and regularly review performance.
* Critically reviewing project programmes to ensure effective delivery plans. These plans should be fully resourced, costed and updated to produce earned value and other analyses.
* Developing and maintaing effective client relationships, monitoring client satisfaction levels, respond urgently to client concerns and ensuring improvement plans are developed, implemented and shared with clients.
* Minimising unproductive time and overheads consistent with competitive, high quality business, ensure forward resource plans provide competitive prices.

The experience you'll bring
* You will have or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
* Experience of working on site is essential
* Educated to degree level with Civil Engineering qualification being preferred
* Fully conversant with railway structure and associated safety matters is desired
* Experience in project management either as an APM or PM on a lower level projects and looking for a bigger challenge or have proven experience in a support role
