An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Project Manager who can lead and deliver significant logistics infrastructure changes through 2022 and 2023. The role is to provide project leadership including stakeholder management, project governance, risk management, and budget control.

The role:

  • Creation and management of overall project tools and governance eg gantt chart, risk register, work stream reporting, steering group pack
  • Ownership of work stream structure, engagement across teams, progress reporting and day to day prioritisation of open and assigned projects
  • Schedule, structure, facilitate and own project meeting cadences including working and steering group including own scheduled travel
  • Manage Project timelines, pro-active engagement of key stakeholders resolving back spikes and/or significant risks
  • Monitor and report on project progress in line with project plan, manage & escalate risks, issues, dependencies & resource constraints
  • Formulate, report, and control project budgets
  • Manage project stakeholders effectively, covering third party partner, commercial, finance, supply chain, and customer service teams
  • Lead, plan and manage the delivery of the requirements for allocated projects, ensuring project delivery achieves governance standards
  • Provide leadership support to the UK&I Cluster Logistics Manager to deliver key logistics projects

Skills & experience:

  • Experienced in the delivery of major logistics projects including warehouse transformation
  • Ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • PRINCE2 or similar qualification
  • Solid organisational skills, be a critical thinker with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Degree qualification, ideally within supply chain or logistics
  • Previous Logistics operational line management experience
