Job Description:

Accountable for employee communications and providing internal counsel to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead international employee communications and engagement
  • Development and for providing support for employee communications undertaken by the VP of International Business
  • Effectively manage internal employee engagement activities primarily for employees in the UK but with a secondary need to support wider international requirements
  • Driving the internal clients UK news agenda, working with colleagues in the corporate team and across business areas to generate and publish relevant and timely content
  • Provision of consultative communications support to the clients UK leadership team and both development and delivery of functional internal communication plans
  • Effectively producing supporting communications including written materials, electronic communications, presentations and events
  • Increasing the positive impact and usability of the company intranet with internal stakeholders
  • Developing and sustaining positive relationships with internal partners and business area communicators in support of employee engagement activities
  • External benchmarking to identify and propose new technologies or enhancements to current processes which improve the delivery of employee engagement
  • Effective stewardship of budgets assigned for delivery of internal communications and employee engagement programmes

  • Support for other UK and international communications activities as may be required by the client

Required Skills:

  • Strong communications experience across multiple-disciplines
  • The candidate must be a motivated ambitious with broad experience and interest in the global security business with:
  • Proven leadership, credibility, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain a close working relationship with business leaders, Corporate and Business Area Communications and Global Business Development as well as working effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of international affairs, awareness of current global issues and ability to work well with people from multiple cultures.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain close working relationships with media, government public affairs offices and in-country communication firms and businesses.
  • Extensive experience in strategic communications, international and domestic media relations, and integrated communications planning to include both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of vision, creative thinking and effective decision-making.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.
  • Broad experience interacting with and counselling senior executives.
