Exciting opportunity to join a thriving retail business at their office HQ in Basingstoke The role is intended to communicate effectively with the wider marketing team to deliver impactful solutions and brand alignment to support the branch network and improve business sales/ growth in the most cost effective and profitable ways.

Role Purpose:

  • Articulate and pitch the retail, digital and PR services offered to vendors and retail customers to help drive incremental value and strengthen customer and vendor relationships
  • Work closely with in-house experts and report back on competitor offerings or customer requests to enhance portfolio of services
  • Build world class partnerships relationships with vendor and retail partners, attending regular meetings
  • Project management of the marketing services from initial pitch through execution and detailed reporting on performance
  • Mastery of the entire consumer marketing mix and our service proposition and thrive in delivering beyond customer expectations
  • Outstanding execution of day to day responsibilities and workload
  • Negotiate and secure funding in support of the marketing activities
  • Support in the overall achievement of the Client Services target set for the year at budget
  • To look for incremental opportunities to broaden and increase the range of marketing services and share of vendor funds by deepening relationships with the vendors, to further drive mutual growth
  • Look for incremental opportunities by developing activities and solutions across complimentary vendors.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Marketing or related studies) or equivalent
  • Previous channel marketing, client services, sales or agency experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Great organisation with ability to balance tactical work with strategic thinking
  • Self-starter and driven to deliver results directly and through influence of others
  • Collaborative and strong team player
  • Creativity in both the design and implementation of programs and plans
  • Good networking skills - internally and externally
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and sustain a high level of energy & concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Capacity/courage to challenge the status quo

  • Hours of work 9.00 am - 5.30 pm
  • Starting at 23 days per annum, increasing to 27 upon length of service plus bank holidays
