Our nationwide client is recruiting for a Survey Technical Support Engineer to work in their Survey and Safety division to support customers with technical queries arising from the use of their Survey products.

The role covers their survey southern region depots - Oxford, Norwich, Cambridge, Heathrow, Docklands, Brighton, Bristol and Bodmin.

The role can be based at any of these depots but would preferably be somewhere in the middle. Travel would be to the depots to provide internal training on their products, joint visits with TSR's when necessary and customer site visits when required. You may also be required to attend exhibitions throughout the year.

Overnight stays may be required with some of the travel but not required regularly.


To actively support all products in the Survey Division and to offer full technical support to their current customer base either via telephone or in person.

  • To work closely with the Survey and Safety Division General Managers to ensure the highest standards of service are met and exceeded.
  • To ensure all demonstrations and/or training sessions are conducted in a professional, organised, efficient and informative manner.
  • To liaise with the Depot Sales team to ensure all customer visits are co-ordinated and carried out in a professional manner and with the full knowledge of the customer account manager.
  • To communicate effectively all customer contact and activity to the Technical Support manager and any associated parties, i.e. Survey General Managers.
  • To display a high level of integrity and trust at all times and to represent the brand in a professional and proud manner.
  • To assist the Regional Operations Managers and Survey and Safety General Managers in their region when requested.
  • To provide internal training to all Survey and Safety Depots within your region or where required.
  • To attend open days and exhibitions for the Survey and Safety division giving informative demonstrations and providing extensive product knowledge.


  • Experience working within the Survey sector and strong technical product knowledge
  • You will be organised, motivated and confident with an aptitude for problem solving
  • A confident communicator
  • Knowledge and experience of Geospatial equipment is desirable; in particular Leica and Trimble survey products would be an advantage.
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A high level of IT literacy -particularly in word and excel and PowerPoint.

Hours: Mon-Fri 7.30am-4.30pm or 8am-5pm
