Transport Shift Manager

£33,000 - £38,000 + Pension + Progression + Benefits

Are you an experienced Transport Supervisor or Manager? Do you want to develop your career with further professional growth opportunities?

Working with a globally renowned company, you will have the opportunity to be part of a highly efficient transport operation and will strategically manage the day to day running of the Lisburn depot to ensure the available resources within the company to ensure maximum efficiency.

Organising a fleet of vehicles and a team of drivers, you will be work with internal & external stakeholders to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of goods to customers, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

The Role:

  • Management of all depot activities
  • Coaching and motivating members of the team
  • Managing delivery procedures and policies are adhered to at all times
  • Effectively liaising with sales, transport, and operation departments
  • Ensuring that company vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned and safely operated
  • Manage incoming and outgoing goods on a daily basis
  • Manage Backhaul collections and ensure they are adhered to on a daily basis.
  • Identifies, coordinates and delivers training as appropriate to meet driver needs
  • Ensuring the premises are maintained to the highest standards
  • Ensuring Security and Health & Safety Procedures are adhered to at all times

You will need:

  • A good understanding of EU Tachograph Regulations & WTD
  • Excellent organisational & planning skills
  • Great communication skills and a proactive/reactive mindset
  • Good geographical knowledge of UK & Ireland
  • An ability to effectively manage, motivate and develop the team around you
  • International CPC would be Advantageous
