Air & Ocean Freight Forwarders

Exciting opportunity to join a Global Transport & Logistics company. Working in the Pharmaceutical division working as a freight forwarder in Air & Ocean. This is a hands-on role working in a busy environment. The role involves customer and supplier liaison, job execution, and irregularity handling. The successful candidate will be trained on all QMS systems and GDP compliance.

Monday to Friday with a degree of flexibility

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure knowledge and compliance, with "Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for Pharmaceutical Products as defined in the company quality policies
• Answer telephone in line with Company policy
• Deal with customer enquiries
• Prepare Quotations and obtain rates
• Update Quote Log
• Receive and review orders and price the job
• Accept orders, book the job in CONTROL, confirm the job
• Liaison with consignee and overseas network (imports)
• Monitor and confirm arrival (imports)
• Request clearance and delivery instructions (imports)
• Arrange collection (exports)
• Issue pre-alerts to dispatch organisations Arrange International Transport and notify clients of shipping details (exports)
• Ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against jobs
• Handover to Operations and other departments
• Comply with Company policies and procedures.
• Customer service and sales functions (e.g., providing status updates)
• Maintain customer tracker / KPI reports
• Deep-selling and development of customers
• Generate sales leads and appointments
• Liaise with internal parties and external suppliers to monitor job progress
• Irregularity handling
• Understand and accept changes to SOPs and work instructions
