This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a vehicle mechanic based in Leuchars, Fife.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced vehicle mechanic, ideally you should be Ex Military or have experience working on Land Rover and Man trucks.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for servicing, repair and overhaul of vehicles and general equipment including diagnostic and inspection duties. Manufacture of miscellaneous items and carrying out equipment examination to meet production requirements.

Your other duties will include:

* Carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on the BaaN job card in accordance with AESP's, customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, process plans and other technical publications.
* Undertake diagnostic duties on equipment and to carry out road testing. Ensure all BaaN transactions are carried out in accordance with processes and that time is booked daily.

The experience you'll bring

We would like you to have the following experience:

* City & Guild Certificates in Heavy/Light Vehicle Mechanics' Craft Studies Level 3 or as alternative Modern Apprenticeship in Vehicle studies Level 3
* Driving License B essential, B+E, or C, C+E preferred, further training with be provided if required.
* You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC and ITAR clearance.

It would be desirable if you had the following:

* Previous Examination Experience
* Aircon FGAS
* Hydrologic Systems
* Vehicle Electrics
* MHE trained
