Job Title: Stores and Logistics Assistant

Location: Royston

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday. Must cover core working hours of 10am-4pm

Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Royston for a Stores and Logistics Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

My client is looking for a Stores and Logistics Assistant who is hardworking, ambitious and flexible. The warehouse is an ideal environment for those with the right drive and attitude to progress further within their career.

Focusing on productizing Science, the group supports customers around the world in taking scientific discoveries and inventions and developing them into commercially successful products.

Working as part of a small operations team, the candidate will be required to support various operational activities but be focused on goods in and shipping in a fast-paced environment.

What will your duties be?

  • Arranging and tracking all outbound shipments according to customer requirements
  • Working with internal teams, distributors & customers to ensure all shipments comply to regulations
  • Assisting with the picking and packing of sales orders and internal shipments
  • Goods inwards and receipt of all incoming deliveries including locating to relevant stock / stores locations
  • Assisting with stock checks and general organisation of stores area
  • Assisting with raising and dispatch of internal purchase orders between teams
  • Assisting with the kitting of production works orders
  • Compiling data and generating reports for goods in, stock and shipping
  • Ensuring stock of production and shipping consumables is maintained

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Recent experience in shipping / logistics role desirable
  • Knowledge of MRP systems for goods in / out and stock control desirable
