A people-first Freight Forwarder are looking to recruit a sales agent and are flexible in terms of your experience - happy to consider candidates with or without Freight industry knowledge and happy to be flexible in terms of your sales experience too (obviously the amount of relevant experience you have will be a factor in salary!)
You will be joining a small, but well-established sales team based at the company office in Shepperton Marina. The existing team have pushing 20years experience at the company combined.
This Freight Forwarder move goods from A to B around the world by Land, Sea and Air and provide Customs Clearance services - as well as providing warehouse storage facilities.
Your role? In simple terms you will be responsible for winning business in order for your customers to choose this Freight Forwarder to transport their goods from point to point around the world.
You will be given all the tools you need to do the job - your sales will comprise of your own cold calling, but also you will be passed leads and have the opportunity to re-engage with lapsed clients.
This is a telephone-based role initially - you will be required to build up your portfolio of customers until the role naturally turns into an account manager role, i.e managing your customers accounts rather than solely a sales role for new business. Whilst this is predominantly a telephone-based role (certainly initially) you will be required to get out and meet clients face to face.
This is an office-based role, but the company are happy to allow the occasional work from home day for a specific reason if required. You will be joining a vibrant office that like to have fun and enjoy themselves. Pre COVID the company certainly had a social element that they are now able to introduce again.
Working hours Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm (1hr lunch)
£20-30K subject to industry & sales experience
