This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse, dedicated and growing team where you'll play a key role in the provision of engineering and operations support by coordinating nuclear safety implicated design changes, changes to the nuclear safety management arrangements and compliance shortfalls against the Facility Safety Cases and Authorisation Condition across HMNB Clyde.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a Nuclear Facilities Engineer who will analyse situations, events and processes to identify shortfalls and weaknesses in working practices. Utilising their skill set to develop and implement recommendations to address shortfalls to ensure compliance with facility safety cases and to work with the Section's management in delivering change, continuous improvement and ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Clyde's cost, time and quality requirements.

What will you be doing?
* Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the facility ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
* Identify, analyse, investigate, diagnose, and generate solutions to problems for any Nuclear Facilities issues.
* Investigate, plan, progress and manage a variety of projects within the Facility.
* Work with operations planning team to produce, review and amend planned preventative maintenance documentation.
* Identify, raise and process concessions against planned maintenance, as required.
* Facility Operator's representative at all Nuclear Safety Committees for items affecting or relating to the Facility.
* Fulfil the role of Nuclear Procedure Coordinator to ensure the activities are undertaken in accordance with the NSAG & DNSAG authorised documents.

The experience you'll bring
* Previous experience in engineering / nuclear environments or similar industry.
* Ideally, you would have experience of formulating business cases, producing supporting documentation and managing projects.
* A Bachelor's degree in an engineering subject, or HNC/HND in Engineering with significant experience as a minimum requirement.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload. Proficient use of MS Office software with well-developed presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
* Expert knowledge of Maintenance Procedures, Risk, and COSHH assessments and Safe Systems of Work with excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
* Ideally you will already hold or be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role within a Ministry of Defence facility.
