Our client a successful integrated manufacturing company are recruiting for a Production Planner to join the business on a permanent basis. You will be working Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm. Ideally you will have planning experience however our client would also consider a graduate for the role were training would be given.

As a Production planner you will be responsible for setting and meeting committed sales order request dates from customers, from receipt of order through to delivery and invoicing.

Schedule orders from customers to meet their requests, in consideration of available capacity and materials. Sending order acknowledgements.

Give excellent customer service by scheduling orders promptly, and working flexibly to customer requests, enquiries & changes in delivery requirements.

Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries

Attending daily production meetings.

Taking weekly calls with customers to go over open order book, escalating any issues to management.

Ensure plans are in place with key stakeholders to mitigate material shortages that affect production

Work with the purchasing team to understand component delivery situation and update MRP and customers accordingly.

Create and amend BoMs, routings and new part numbers and manage change requests.

Create and maintain master drawing files

Release work orders with correct documentation to production.

Liaising with despatch department, co-ordinating deliveries, ensuring delivery notes and invoices are created.

Essential

  • Knowledge of working within a manufacturing business
  • Proficiency of using an MRP system
  • Excellent communication written and verbal skills
  • Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook etc) skills
  • Accurate and organised
