Major Infrastructure Projects is a business unit looking to develop the Dockyard with a significant number of large, complex and technically challenging projects. The Commercial department will support both the Prime and Subcontract requirements in order to achieve a successful outcome.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a Commercial Support Officer on a permanent basis and it is in intended that you will develop in your role and move on to the Senior Contracts Engineers after a suitable period of learning and experience.

What will you be doing?
* Assisting in the securing of work with acceptable terms by undertaking the preparation of commercial elements for tenders, tasking forms and Contract Amendments (as applicable) together with assisting in the Prime Contracts.
* Liaising with the project teams and provision of commercial advice with regard to Prime and Subcontract issues and reporting during Contract execution.
* Assisting and maintaining the commercial point of contact to the Customer(s) together with the provision of commercial representation at Customer progress meetings.
* Providing support to the Senior Contracts Engineers and QS's in general commercial support, logging of data, provision of records and dealing with contract administrative tasks.

The experience you'll bring
* Must be highly organised, well-structured and have exceptional attention to detail.
* Ideally have broad knowledge of building and construction.
* Ideally have General Contracting knowledge.
* You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
