Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner/Project Manager

Our client are committed to supporting and inspiring each other and we are looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to join our team based in Farnborough. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery of technical outputs and reports, maintaining excellent team standards. In return, they will provide the opportunity to experience and manage a variety of interesting and diverse projects, supporting personal and professional growth.

Main Duties:

  • Preparation of detailed Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
  • Preparation of Travel Plans as well as Travel Plan Coordination
  • Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
  • Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities as required
  • Attendance at meetings / public consultation events as required
  • Management of small / medium sized projects
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff within the team
  • Taking ownership of other traffic / transport related tasks as required by your Team Leader

Requirements

Education/ Experience:

  • Degree in applicable subject; Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
  • 2-5 year's experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
  • Advanced understanding of spreadsheets / presentation of technical outputs e.g. traffic flows
  • Use of AutoCAD
  • Proficient use of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
