Job Details

Sytner Coventry is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

Your role

The main elements of the role include:
  • Daily registration (including scanning) of invoices
  • Passing of invoices once approved by managers
  • Verification of invoices against supplier GRN's
  • Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements
  • Preparation and submission of monthly BACS payment run
  • One off BACS payments as necessary
  • Upkeep of circa 100 active purchase ledger accounts
  • Liaising with suppliers via Email and telephone & dealing with internal departments / managers to resolve queries
  • Other Ad-hoc finance duties as required

The role is 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.

Your profile

Proven experience and a good working knowledge of Purchase Ledger/accounts department routines are essential as is a good working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of the Motor Trade and the Kerridge Dealer Management System is not essential but would be advantageous. You will be enthusiastic, well organised, diligent and able to work to strict Group deadlines whilst still paying close attention to the detail. You will also be great at working both as an individual and as part of a small team in a fast paced office environment. You will need a good level of IT literacy and be able to prioritise tasks well.
