Location: Reading - Hybrid (This role requires regular travel to Reading on a weekly basis alongside remote working arrangements and access to any Babcock Hub)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Designer and Trainer to our Non-Technical Training Team at the BMW Academy located at Wokefield Park, Reading. Working from our state of the art purpose built BMW Academy, you get the best of both worlds both with this role, all whilst being surrounded by gorgeous cars & great people. A hybrid role to both deliver training and aid the design and development of our suite of training within Sales, Product & Brand; and as a result, supporting in achieving our agreed training targets across the Academy. This role will proactively identify, recommend and implement opportunities to add value to the customer and to our business.

Who we are looking for?

This is a hands-on role requiring the successful candidate to have strong experience and understanding in instructional design and technology concepts. You'll be a creative and driven individual, with a real inspiring passion for producing high-quality and engaging face-to-face, blended and E-learning material. You will be skilled within the area of research and will be open to new ways of doing things, driving the team here with a fresh and dynamic approach.

What will you be doing?

This role involves:

  • To deliver, and support the design and development of training programmes
  • Work collaboratively with Assessors, Coaches and Trainers to deliver inspiring and innovative training across the Academy. Keen focus on developing and delivering training intended to delight and motivate the learner.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and update engaging learning activities and compelling course content that brings value and enhances the learner experience. Leverage the use of technology where possible to create immersive learning experiences.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement by reviewing content during development cycles and identify opportunities for improving products.
  • Partner and collaborate with other Course Designers and L&D professionals to ensure consistent delivery across the Academy.
  • Proactively maintain CPD levels across training disciplines.

The experience you'll bring

  • Experience in course design and instructional technology with a focus on face-to-face, blended learning and eLearning.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of training design, as per ADDIE cycle.
  • Understanding of / or ability to learn about innovative learning methodologies including the use of technologies
  • Experience of project delivery from conception to implementation and delivery
  • Training instructor / training and development background
  • Knowledge of BMW product, brand, sales and aftersales is preferred but not essential
  • Automotive Industry awareness / previous experience is an advantage - but we can teach you!
