PDI Technician - Ballymena

£13.42 PH + Early Finish on Fridays

We are working with a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry who is a pioneer in their field, producing the worlds first zero emission double-deck hydrogen bus from their modern factory in Ballymena.

We are currently recruiting a PDI Technician who will ensure vehicles are road worthy and running safely before delivery to customers.

Suitable candidates will have good mechanical and fault finding skills. Experience working on commercial vehicles is preferred but not essential.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections efficiently and to company quality standards
• Use of systems including Wabco, Voith and Cummins
• Conduct road tests and shakedown tests
• Identify and resolve faults
• Read and understand technical drawings
• Identify root cause of issues and help with solutions

What you will need:

• Qualified Mechanic (Light Vehicle/ HGV or similar) or 4 Years Chassis production experience
• Experience fault finding, diagnosing and repairing faults
• Working knowledge of quality procedures and continuous improvement
• Can identify root cause and corrective action
• Can understand engineering drawings/ wiring diagrams
