Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes for a Fleet Damage & Recharge Executive to join their team with an immediate start!

The hourly rate is £12 per hour and you will be expected to work a 35 hour week.

This role is initially until the end of the year with the view of being extended further.

About the role

Reporting to the Damage & Recharge Controller, the primary purpose of the role will be to support with all administration regarding in life customer recharges, end of hire condition reporting, collating customer damage packs, liaising with the customer to obtain authorisation and creation of customer invoice.

Assisting the Damage & Recharge Controller with the de-fleet process of all Rent-a-Car vehicles, liaising with the de-fleet centre, maximising on cost saving through efficient decision making using industry knowledge to challenge third party suppliers to ensure costs are managed in line with budgets.

The role holder will be responsible for effective customer and supplier management ensuring SLA's are adhered to with the objective of ensuring that all recharges are captured, repaired and invoiced to the customer with the vehicle back in service with minimal down time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the de-fleet process for all Rent-a-Car vehicles organising end of contract inspections, monitoring levels of vehicle damage in line with SLA's to meet Brand return standards
  • With the support of the Damage & Recharge Controller implement and manage relationships with customers, insurers and body repairers effectively, ensuring the minimisation of fleet down time to drive the significant financial benefits
  • Applying own technical knowledge and fleet industry experience to asses vehicle damages ensuring suppliers are compliant by acting as an arbitrator, this requires potentially undertaking challenging conversations
  • Approve and regularly review repair authorisations ensuring costs and downtime are kept to a minimum within budgets
  • Analyse management reporting on recharges and repair cost spend to the Damage & Recharge Controller making recommendations for optimisation of costs in line with planned spend
  • Assist the Fleet Supply & In Life Manager with creation of an effective damage management process to report and manage damage and ensure re-charges are managed correctly
  • Responsible for vehicle recharges ensuring vehicle repair costs are recovered by charging Locations and Corporate Customers
  • Keep up to date with any environmental, legal, economic, political developments directly impacting fleet and rental business in the Mobility Sector
  • Routinely analysing data from our rental system and third-party portals (such as BCA i-Sight), recognising and testing its integrity
  • Monitoring supplier standards across multiple fleet related areas; - such as refurbishment, maintenance and claims handling etc. and escalating issues as required
  • Undertaking challenging conversations with suppliers and customers when acting as an arbitrator
  • Knowing where to find best sources of information
  • Operating in a quickly developing new business area where "Best Practice" procedures are continually evolving

Skills and Experience

  • Routinely analysing data from our rental system and third-party portals (such as BCA i-Sight), recognising and testing its integrity
  • Monitoring supplier standards across multiple fleet related areas; - such as refurbishment, maintenance and claims handling etc. and escalating issues as required
  • Undertaking challenging conversations with suppliers and customers when acting as an arbitrator
  • Knowing where to find best sources of information
  • Operating in a quickly developing new business area where "Best Practice" procedures are continually evolving
  • Confident, articulate, with the ability to analyse data and present findings

  • Ability to develop and sustain positive and co-operative working relationships with a broad variety of internal and external partners

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
