Wollaston Motors is looking for a Workshop Controller.

Your role

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy Service Department. To succeed, previous experience within the motor industry or a similar role is essential as you will need to be skilled in running a high volume, fast-paced prestige Workshop with over 25 productive Technicians and 80+ retail customers per day.

You will take full responsibility for driving our Technicians' performance and will be expected to work closely with our Workshop Manager to manage workshop loading, utilisation, quality of work, efficiency, and productivity to ensure we maximise our labour sales targets. In addition, you will also be required to assist with customer road tests and provide technical customer support, so excellent communication skills and an unrivalled passion for delivering unprecedented levels of customer service to both external and internal customers will be key.

As the opportunity within our After Sales Department continues to grow, there has never been a more exciting time to join our highly successful Service Team at Wollaston BMW, the leading retailer of Prestige cars in Northampton.

Our dealerships boast state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and technology in the workshop, If you believe you have the skills and experience for this demanding role, we would really love to hear from you.

Your profile

You must have previous experience within the automotive industry. Training is provided through our dedicated in-house Learning & Development team and outstanding manufacturer courses run by BMW to support your career.

Ideally, you will have excellent organisational and administrative skills along with good attention to detail. A strong technical background would be beneficial as you will be delivering high levels of customer satisfaction in a very busy and demanding environment. Working knowledge of Kerridge would be advantageous but not essential.

Rewards

You could benefit from an on-target earnings annual salary of £40,000, your birthday off, 30 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays rising to 32 with service, 1,000's of retailer discounts with Torque (our engagement hub), paid time off to volunteer, life insurance, a Cycle to Work scheme, and much more.

We look for people who understand our customers and the role that automotive mobility plays in their lives. People who get genuine satisfaction from knowing customers are inspired by our products and impressed by every aspect of the service we give them.

If you understand what makes our engines run and customers tick, we'll make sure you stay that step ahead. With training from the BMW Group Academy UK and a chance to work on cutting-edge technology, we'll help you to develop as a professional and grow your career within BMW Group Retail.
