We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller to work with our client a leading multipanel manufacturer based in West Edinburgh. The hours will be Monday to Friday Rotational shifts - 6.0am - 2.30pm and 10.00am - 18.30pm.


This is a newly developed role, which will require you to help develop robust systems/processes surrounding the Key Responsibilities to ensure responsibilities are met.

Based Primarily on Production Floor, main responsibilities include, but are not limited to -

·Daily review of products manufactured (1st operation) System v Actual ensuring correct material system transactions performed. Correction of any errors. Highlighting opportunities for improvement. Escalating genuine production misses to Master Scheduler.

·Daily review of FGDS produced System v Actual ((including swatch check) ensuring correct system transactions performed. Correction of any errors. Highlighting opportunities for improvement.

·Transfer of FGDS from interim bin location to FGDS bin location after required checks performed

·Daily Review of Overdue Manufacturing Jobs, system v actual.

·Accurate raising of NCR's for Edinburgh site, including disposition and subsequent actions e.g. accept to stock as No Fault Found, accept to stock for re-work or any potential rejects escalate to Quality for disposition.

·Ownership of Driver and Depot Returns as well as Customer returns (RMA's) physically received into Edinburgh. Ensuring accurate system transactions are performed and stock moved accordingly.

·Overtime - Any weekend manufacturing will require support from the Inventory Controller

·Leads and Project Manages CI projects aimed (but not limited) to improving inventory accuracy across the business. Ensuring objectives and dates are met and supporting tam members where required.

·Assist the Materials Manager in Company PI counts using company ERP systems

· Work with the Materials Manager to achieve and maintain Inventory Accuracy of 97%.by supporting CI projects and strategies.

· Any additional duties as required by the business.

Essential:

  • Manufacturing / warehouse planning
  • Experience of managing inventory control processes such as cycle and stock counts.
  • Experience of warehouse management system such as Epicor, SAP etc.
  • Experience of Engineering Control principles
