My Client is a leader in the recycling & manufacturing of plastics, with an innovative process which continues to create class leading reprocessed plastic products.

I am pleased to be supporting in the introduction of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician, with an electrical bias & a strong manufacturing background. This is a challenging role in a fast-changing organisation, which will require excellent time management & autonomous working - on a 12 hour 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern,

The role:

  • The primary focus will be to carry out PPM activities in support of increasing machine availability & reduction of.
  • You will also be required to provide engineering support as part of the wider Engineering Team.
  • In addition, you will be tasked with preventative maintenance, fixing breakdowns, fault finding, and continuously improving plant performance, while maintaining and raising quality and safety standards.

What will your day look like?

  • Carry out PPM schedule on all site equipment mechanical and electrical.
  • Ensure all site equipment is compliant with all HSE regulations.
  • Actively promote a safe working culture and contribute to all SHE initiatives.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, adjustment, and monitoring tasks as required to maintain factory efficiency.
  • Conduct reactive asset maintenance.
  • Support colleagues/departments with new equipment installation, projects, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with the wider Engineering team on continuous improvement projects & equipment modifications.
  • Implement engineering solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Are you a qualified HNC/HND Electrical Engineer with prior experience within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment? Are you a team player, looking for a new challenge in a growing and developing organisation? if so, then get in touch. To succeed in this role, you will need.

  • Electrically biased but with a sound understanding of Mechanical engineering.
  • C&G 2382-15 17th/18th Edition is essential, C&G 2394 Inspection and testing is desirable
  • Experience of management systems especially ISO 9001 is desirable.
  • LEAN qualification desirable
  • Fork Truck License desirable.
  • Prior knowledge of plastic extrusion/blown film processes would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
